I was drawn to yoga around 20 years ago whilst training as an endurance runner . It was something that I did to "stretch a bit" and that made me feel good but I didn't fully grasp the underlying theory until around 8 years ago when I completed a Foundation Course with the Inner Yoga Trust and explored what yoga was really about. With the realisation of how yoga can benefit health and wellbeing on many levels I took the next step to become a Yoga Teacher and in 2015 completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with the Simon Low Yoga Academy. My aim is to share what I know and am continuing to learn, yoga truly is a lifetime's work.
MYTH - you do NOT have to be flexible to practice yoga. In fact, the stiffer you are the quicker you may notice the benefits. Anybody can practice yoga, the only requirement is that you can breathe.
I teach Hatha yoga in a Yin Yang style. This combines moving through yoga postures with the breath as an anchor and then allowing space for restorative work where postures are held a little longer in a supported position so that the body can gently unwind.
Yoga can bring about change on a physical and emotional level. I hope that you will leave my classes feeling more aware of your movement and at the same time more settled in your mind.
There is an emphasis on safe yoga practice and good alignment and I hope you can take what you learn from my classes and be inspired to try other styles and yoga classes.

Mondays 8-9pm All levels with an emphasis on loosening the body after hard exercise, suitable especially for runners or cyclists.
Wednesdays 930-1030am All levels welcome.
Wednesdays 1045-1145 - a gentle class especially suitable for seniors and those suffering from long standing injuries or chronic illness.
