About and Qualifications
I studied physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh qualifying in 1987 and then worked for some years in the NHS, a few years for E&Y in their corporate fitness centre and then at private clinics in Spain and Italy. I have run my own clinic in Winchester for the past 10 years. Being a former athlete (representing GB at Marathon and Half Marathon) I have a special interest in running related injuries and also treat many other conditions from acute strains and sprains to long-standing chronic problems.

Following a full initial assessment, treatment may include hands on soft tissue therapy, massage, acupuncture, dry needling, techniques, combined with an exercise plan designed for you as an individual to alleviate pain and restore movement.
I believe that fully understanding a problem and how it influences movement is key to restoring function. Alongside treatment I will give you home exercises to speed recovery away from the treatment room and also try to explain clearly what has occurred and how the body can recover given the right conditions. I hope you will leave my sessions feeling improved on a physical level and also more knowledgable about your own body and how best to take care of it.
*Please note that my diary is currently very full so regrettably you may have to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment.
